Experience The Essential Ecuadorian Andes

Andean Adventure
Enjoy the unique and spectacular Andean landscape and culture as an extension to your Volunteer Eco Students Abroad program.

Andes Explored

Our Andean Adventure starts in Otavalo where we explore the biggest and most famous indigenous market in Ecuador and then visit scenic Lake Cuicocha. We then continue on to Páramo reserve “El Angel“ and experience this incredible landscape before arriving in the old town of Ibarra.

From the Mitad del Mundo‘s Equator museum we continue on to the Cotapaxi National Park and then overnight at an eco-friendly hostel on the mountain plateau with views of the Cotopaxi and illiniza volcanoes. We spend the day exploring the park and then hike to the refuge for stunning views and maybe glimpses of the local wildlife before arriving in Quito for dinner.

As an end to our journey we ride the Telefériqo cable car to dizzying heights before finishing with a tour of the historical centre of Quito’s Old Town. Travelling with small groups of like-minded people we endeavour to keep the impact on the local environment and communities to a minimum and we always ensure your travel is safe and hassle free.
